Car enthusiast and former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson questioned Meghan Markle for wanting to skip her royal engagement following a fire that had broken out at Archie’s nursery.

This revelation arrived on Meghan’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast where she recalled how Archie was lucky not to have been hurt on their royal South African tour since he was not present in the room.
But in the process of doing so, the Duchess of Sussex was quite critical over how she had to go and conduct another royal engagement following this incident.
That divided the public since some felt Meghan was overreacting as nothing happened, whilst others resonated with her since Archie was very young at the time.
But for Jeremy, he made his position very clear. He recalled how he was devastated by the death of his mother, but he still carried out his work-related duties.
In his comments, Jeremy said: “A few years ago I was in Moscow when I received news in the middle of the night that my mum had died.
“And the next morning, I was on stage, trying my best to entertain the audience at a Top Gear Live event. It hurt. It really did. But I did it.”

Nevertheless, Meghan was quite adamant in her criticism that it was more important to consider how someone feels, as opposed to how things may look.
And yet, if Meghan did not attend that engagement, then it would have disappointed all those that were expecting her and Prince Harry to arrive.
And given that the cancellation would have been at the last minute, that would have left people not best pleased. That is why Jeremy was clear that it was important to consider other perspectives too.
His following comments confirmed as much: “That’s what we are expected to do. Not Let People Down.” Ultimately, Meghan made her stance clear.
