JoJo Siwa still has a bone to pick with Candace Cameron Bure, even though the Fuller House star thought all of their issues had been resolved following a private phone call. In one of her recent TikTok videos, JoJo blasted Candace as being the ‘rudest celebrity’ she had ever met but did not elaborate as to why.
After much confusion, Candace reached out to JoJo via phone to have an honest discussion. According to Candace, JoJo felt snubbed when Candace declined to take a photo with her at the Fuller House premiere several years ago. Candace apologized and took to Instagram to explain the misunderstanding, and the ladies seemingly came to a resolution…but JoJo just refuses to let this drama die.
JoJo Siwa STILL Continuing Candace Cameron Bure Feud, Gives More Details About The Alleged ‘Rough’ Encounter
After Candace’s apology, JoJo recently spoke out recalling the ‘rough’ experience she had meeting Candace back when she was 11-years-old. JoJo has since called out Candace in the press, saying that she “didn’t share all the details of the meeting” to her social media followers. “We did speak on the phone. She shared that in her [Instagram video],” said Siwa, who then recounted her very different version of events.
“It was at the afterparty that she didn’t wanna take a picture with me, and I was OK with that. But then I turned around, and when I looked back, she was taking pictures with other kids.” The Dance Moms alum said that the experience made her feel “really, really upset” while claiming that it was “one of those memories” that has “stuck with” her. “When you’re little and somebody says something to you, and you just never forget it as long as you live — I think we’ve all had that moment — and I feel like this was that moment for me”.
But JoJo backtracked somewhat when she referred to their chat as ‘a positive call’ overall. “We had about a 10-minute conversation, and it was sweet. She apologized, and we talked. It was cool. It was nice.” Despite dragging Candace’s name through the mud in what became a media frenzy, JoJo doesn’t appear to have any regrets about her TikTok video that started it all.
“I was being honest, and that’s something that I’ve always done and will always do,” she said. While JoJo’s past encounter with Candace Cameron Bure may have been disappointing, the pair both appeared as guests on the Kelly Clarkson Show in 2019 and got along just fine.
Candace’s daughter, Natasha Bure, 23, has not been taking kindly to JoJo’s nonstop efforts to villainize her mother. “Respectfully, someone saying ‘no’ to taking a photo with you is not a ‘rough experience’,” said Natasha in a since-deleted Instagram post. “This generation is so sensitive and has no backbone. Grow up. There are bigger issues in this world than this.
There are people who are dying in other countries, there are children who are starving. Those people are having a rough experience”. On top of that, Natasha also described her mom as ‘the most kind, soft-spoken, apologetic, class act’.
