That is according to body language expert Darren Stanton. This is certainly a controversial claim and one that must be examined. His comments were in relation to the parallels between Meghan and Diana’s tendency to show affection in public.
A typical example of this was seen when Harry and Meghan decided to lock lips at the opening of the Invictus Games. Despite having exited the Royal family, that was clearly not what the onlookers were expecting.
In his comments, Darren said: “Similarly to Princess Diana, Meghan isn’t afraid to show her emotions.
“There’s been plenty of times she and Harry have displayed affectionate gestures towards one another publicly, holding hands and being tactile, touching each other’s elbows or back – intimate areas to touch.”
In contrast, Prince William and Kate Middleton have an entirely different approach. This may be due to the fact that they are members of the Royal family.
Therefore, there could be an expectation that they have to behave in a certain way, which is why they are not as intimate in public as the Sussexes.
In some prior comments, Darren remarked: “She and William are a pair that appear so connected on a deeper level. They don’t need to be showing continuous signs of reciprocal liking.”
The fans on social media were not convinced by Meghan’s demeanour. This was on the grounds that she was ultimately an actress by trade. As such, it is not out of the realm of possibility that she may have studied Diana’s mannerisms and adopted them herself.
One person wrote: “She’s an actress, she can portray what she wants to project. But she will never be a Princess Diana,” while another person stated: “Diana and Meghan are very different women.”
