‘#ManHuntMeghan’ Was Desperate For ‘An English Husband And Harry Was Available’
That is according to royal author Tom Bower. Fast forward today, Meghan is happily married to Prince Harry. The pair have two children together and currently reside in Santa Barbara.
While that may not have been envisaged by detractors of the couple, it seems that Harry fitted the mould of the type of man that Meghan was after. And after having found Harry, she was not going to let him go.
In his comments, Tom said: “Meghan’s google search was more forensic. As the master of online research for The Tig, she instinctively searched Google for information.
“I think that Meghan was on a manhunt. She was looking for a husband — and an English husband — and Harry was available.” Nevertheless, these comments have to be taken with a pinch of salt for the following reasons.
First of all, given that Meghan had been dating Harry, she would have understood that things can exist online about high-profile people which are not true.
After all, she was in the acting profession which comes with added scrutiny. Secondly, those comments contravene what Meghan said about Harry during her controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.
In her comments at the time, Meghan remarked: “I’d never looked up my husband online. I just didn’t feel a need to because everything that I needed to know, he was sharing with me, right?
“Everything that we thought I needed to know, he was telling me.” The social media response found some common ground with what Tom had to say.
This was on the basis there was a perception that Meghan was looking to boost her public profile in any way possible.
One person wrote: “#ManhuntMeghan was searching for a RICH and well-connected English husband to further her career ambitions.”
