This G1 Climax has been a breakout tournament for YOSHI-HASHI – and with three matches to go, has a chance to hit a total of 10 points. So far, he’s beat two members of BULLET CLUB – and tonight, Yujiro Takahashi steps up. Takahashi has been showing up in his matches in this tournament like usual, shocking fans with some gutsy performances, but can he hope to stop YOSHI-HASHI tonight?
YOSHI-HASHI Attacked Before The Bell
Takahashi would increase his chances of victory, attacking before the bell even rang. He’d pull YOSHI-HASHI out of the corner and stomp him out, before some punches to the head. Takahashi would be dropped by a swinging neckbreaker, and would roll to the floor to recover. YOSHI-HASHI would be drawn to the floor, and be thrown into the barricade – before Takahashi would loosen the straps on the red corner pad.
Back into the ring, YOSHI-HASHI was driven into that exposed corner, as El Phantasmo on commentary expressed the opinion that the pads should be better secured with how often they’ve been removed in this tournament. Takahashi would hit some downward elbow smashes, before taking one of the signature hard hitting chops of YOSHI-HASHI. A boot to the face would land for Takahashi, before he’d be taken up into the vertical suplex.
The lariat in the corner was followed by a ripcord chop and the Headhunter. Takahashi would hung over the top rope for the first of two lariats, the second hitting Takahashi in the face. YOSHI-HASHI would get overeager and got hit with the hotshot, before a Fisherman Buster for a two count.
SHO Is Persistent To Help Yujiro Takahashi
Angle Slam would be blocked, as YOSHI-HASHI would look to apply the Butterfly Lock. SHO would rush the ring to distract YOSHI-HASHI, before Takahashi threw a failed low blow. YOSHI-HASHI took SHO off the apron, before hitting Takahashi with the top rope Blockbuster for a near fall. A running elbow smash kept the pressure on – before Takahashi would distract the referee, allowing SHO to hit YOSHI-HASHI with the steel chair.
Pimp Juice DDT would follow, with YOSHI-HASHI able to kick out. Big Juice would be blocked into the backstabber, before Karma was set. SHO would agin try to distract, but Takahashi was thrown into him before the left arm lariat would land. Miami Shine would be blocked, but YOSHI-HASHI was shoved into the exposed corner.
Referee was distracted, and SHO hit the low blow and wrench shot, allowing Takahashi to hit Big Juice to advance his record to 3-2, and could have just ruined the chance at the finals for YOSHI-HASHI.
