Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been told to secure their mansion down due to the presence of a lion.
Harry And Meghan Have Major Security Breach As Sussexes Warned A Lion Could Attack Them-‘We Want All Locals To Secure Their Homes’
The pair are currently residing in California, but it appears that they have other problems to navigate than their issues with the Royal family. And according to reports, security footage had shown a lion being pictured five miles from their residence.
It is claimed that the footage showed the lion moving near a driveway, which caused huge concern. This is on the grounds that the drought in California may have enticed the lion to look for food, with the Sussexes allegedly being informed that chickens could be targeted.
Sharon Byrne, who happens to be the Executive Director of the Montecito Association, had this to say: “We want all locals to secure their homes and secure their chicken coops and whatever other animals they may have.
“Chickens can be a fast, easy source of food for hunting animals so they have to be safe and secure.” This has already begun to impact the locals in the area with fears over the welfare of their children and pets.
So much so that people have started to take more precautions, especially since it is unheard of to see a mountain lion in the vicinity.
One such local was alleged to have said the following: “There are all kinds of animals in the neighbourhood – coyotes, bears and deer.
“But it’s rare to see a mountain lion.” The fans on social media, though, felt that there had been an overreaction. They were of the view that simple measures could prevent anything untoward from happening.
One person wrote: “There’s no need to lock down over the presence of the resident neighborhood mountain lion. (Just make sure you store your chickens in a lion-proof cage….helps us understand that it’s your food, not ours).”
It is better to be safe than sorry, as who knows what could happen. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
