Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no plans on visiting Prince William and Kate Middletown despite their UK visit next month.
Harry And Meghan Will Not Meet William And Kate During UK Visit Next Month Following Lilibet’s Birthday Snub
Reports had confirmed that the couple would attend the ‘One Young World Summit,’ in Manchester on 5th September 2022. This was an event designed to bring together young leaders from across the globe.
This was then to be accompanied by a trip to Germany on 6th September 2022 for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 ‘One Year to Go’ event before returning to the UK again on 8th September 2022 for the ‘WellChild Awards.’
While that may be the case, William and Kate are not on the agenda. Royal expert Ingrid Seward had this to say: “I don’t think they would bump into one another unless it was pre-arranged.
“I suppose one could go round with some flowers as a peace offering, but remember what happened last time.” Those comments are entirely understandable for the following reasons.
First of all, William and Kate had turned down the opportunity to attend Lilibet’s birthday during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Therefore, it is very unlikely for the Sussexes to have much time for the Cambridges after having received such a huge snub. Secondly, Harry and Meghan have bigger issues to address as their charitable work is set to take center stage.
A source confirmed the following: “Prince Harry and Meghan are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September.”
Nevertheless, there is still a possibility that Harry and Meghan could visit the Queen. Their last meeting at the Jubilee was a reported 15 minutes long. That would give them an incentive to meet the monarch and spend more time this time around.
That is the view of Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams who stated: “If she does come down as anticipated, she may receive the new Prime Minister at Windsor or at Buckingham Palace.
“There would also be time for her and the Sussexes to discuss the future, which hopefully will be more constructive than the recent past.”
