Prince Harry inadvertently had a dig at Prince William and Kate Middleton as he spoke about how he hopes to share his mother Princess Diana’s ‘spirit’ with his kids.
Prince Harry Shades William And Kate’s Kids- I Want My Kids ‘To Share The Spirit Of My Mum’
The Duke of Sussex’s comments arrived on the back end of an event by Sentebale charity concerning HIV, an organisation which he co-founded in order to remember her.
And as part of that process, Harry spoke on how he hoped his children would have been able to meet his mother. And as the 25th anniversary approaches of Diana’s death, Harry had some very poignant words to say.
In his comments, he said: “Next week is the 25th anniversary of my mother’s death, and she most certainly will never be forgotten.
“I want it to be a day to share the spirit of my mum with my family, with my children, who I wish could have met her.”
While Harry may not have the opportunity to introduce his children to Diana, the same could be said of William and his kids. And that is something that should be noted. But in any event, Harry does have the ability to carry on her work.
The late Princess of Wales was known for being a campaigner for HIV and AIDS. In one particular moment, Diana even caused controversy when she decided to shake the hand of one patient as people became worried about the prospect of any transmission.
So having seen his mother dedicate herself to this cause, Harry made it clear that he was going to do the same. His following comments confirmed as much: “My dear friend Prince Seeiso and I founded Sentebale 16 years ago in honour of our mothers.
“With a mission to support many of the most vulnerable young people on the planet – and to give them care and help them thrive.”
The fans on social media were not receptive towards Harry’s sentiments. And in the process of doing so, they questioned how he could carry on her work in light of his conduct post his royal exit with Meghan Markle.
One person wrote: “Failing already with that then. Get a wife that shares that hope and spirit.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
