Prince William and Kate Middleton have been bashed over their impending US visit this year.

The couple are set to visit Boston in December in order to appear at the Earthshot Prize Initiative. This event is aimed to laud those that have come up with novel ways to protect the environment.
And as part of that process, there will be questions over if the couple will visit Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. After all, it is not too often that they will be in the same country.
And yet, with Harry’s memoir also coming out this year, relations could sour. Irrespective of what the case may be, not everybody has been happy to hear of their plans to come to the US.
This has primarily been on two grounds. First of all, the criticism originates from William and Kate’s alleged poor treatment towards Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex claimed in her controversial Oprah Winfrey interview that Kate made her cry in the run up to her wedding, while the media accused her of doing something that she never did.
Secondly, there was a feeling that this visit was not going to prove fruitful. This was in line with the similar sentiments that were expressed following William and Kate’s disastrous royal Caribbean tour.
With that being said, the response on social media towards the couple was very hostile indeed. One person wrote: “Why are Prince William and Kate Middleton chasing after America?
“Did they and their cronies not push for Meghan to ‘go home’? Are the British public so insufficient for their greed? The gall.”
While another person stated: “We are not interested in them, and no one wants this inconvenient, expensive, no purpose trip…No time for out of touch monarchists who treated a US citizen like s**t.”
