Prince William and Kate Middleton’s appearance in the USA could prove very problematic for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
William And Kate’s US Tour Will Prove Problematic For Harry And Meghan-Says Royal Expert Neil Sean’
That is according to royal expert Neil Sean. The couple are expected to arrive in the US this year for the Earth Shot Prize awards. This initiative is designed to pay homage to those that have taken steps to protect the environment.
And given that Harry and Meghan have also been engaging in political matters in the US, as shown by Harry’s recent speech at the UN for Nelson Mandela International Day, it is understandable that there may be comparisons between them all.
This is something that could prove problematic for the Sussexes, especially if William and Kate are received more positively than them.
In his comments, Neil said: “A year ago Prince Harry and Meghan Markle featured on the cover of the prestigious Time magazine and they were ridiculed for it.
“Now it appears that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be featuring as solo front cover stars on the same magazine.”
Aside from the comparison with the magazines, there is a bigger issue at play. It was clear that Harry and Meghan decided to come to the US to distance themselves from the Royal family.
But with William and Kate’s arrival, there is going to be the question of whether the families will meet up. As of now, there is nothing to suggest that this will happen, as the royal duties will take precedence.
So the only thing left to consider is the respective influence that the couples will have in the US. And that is something that the Sussexes depend on.
Neil’s following comments confirmed as much: “Indeed, the fact that real royalty is coming over to the United States is going to be very problematic for Harry and Meghan.
“Unless they keep winning awards, their world of opportunity could be a very small window indeed.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
