Prince William was heavily trolled for his appearance at the Women’s Euro 2022 final.
Prince William Trolled Over His Women’s Euro 2022 Final Appearance-‘He Got Very Excited When England Were Pegged Back By The Germans’
The Duke of Cambridge has become accustomed to attending major finals of sporting events. He was on hand at the Wimbledon finals this year, as well as having attended the men’s Euro 2020 final.
While the men’s Euro final saw England lose out to Italy on penalties, this time around, it was a completely different story. The England women’s football team managed to overcome Germany 2-1 in extra time to create a huge moment of history.
And William was there to join in on the happiness during the trophy presentation. In the picture here, we can see that William is congratulating the team as the medals are being handed out.
He has a massive smile on his face and could not be any happier. This was then followed up by a passionate message on his social media. In a post on Twitter, William said: “Sensational.
“An incredible win @lionesses and the whole nation couldn’t be prouder of you all. Wonderful to see history in the making tonight at Wembley, congratulations! W.”
Despite the clear happiness on show, people began to mock William. This was on the basis of the recent #PrinceofPegging’ scandal that had gone viral on Twitter.
Rumours emerged that a member of the Royal family had been engaging in extramarital affairs with a liking for pegging.
And people assumed that the person in question was William, which resulted in a huge uproar on social media, that also resulted in his appearance at the final being trolled.
One user wrote: “He got very excited when England were pegged back by the Germans,” while another person stated: “I sure hope those girls don’t take up any invites Willy gives them.”
At a time where the women’s football team created history, that should be the most important thing. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
