Since showing up on NXT 2.0, it’s been hard for Solo Sikoa to ignore the chants of ‘Uso’ during his matches, though his hard hitting style has gotten him over with fans despite his family lineage. It was a matter of ’when’ not ‘if’ Sikoa would get called up to the main roster, with being the cousin of Jimmy & Jey Uso almost enough in it’s own right. After signing with WWE in 2021, Sikoa might already be on his way to the main roster.
Solo Sikoa Could Be Called Up As Soon As Next Month
In a report from PWInsider, talks of Sikoa leaving the NXT brand have increased. There’s been rumours that he is to be called up “in the very near future, possibly as soon as next month”. There’s been reports like this since his debut, but a recent absence shows something is going on with Sikoa.
As of the time of writing, Sikoa was last seen on NXT 2.0 with his victory over Von Wagner in a Falls Count Anywhere match. With no rumors of a repackage or injury to Sikoa – a call up is all that remains. With plans for the WWE Draft shafted in 2022, and a lot of call ups and returns to Monday Night RAW – it’s expected that Sikoa will join the Smackdown Live roster very soon.
Helping To Boost The Smackdown Live Roster
Another act expected to join the Smackdown Live roster is Legado Del Fantasma. On the latest episode of NXT 2.0 – Santos Escobar would seemingly take the rest of his faction with him, after losing a match that forced him off the NXT brand. With Karrion Kross returning, Smackdown Live got a small boost – but not nearly as much as RAW getting Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai, & Iyo Sky.
Getting Solo Sikoa, Legado Del Fantasma, and possibly Toxic Attraction as major acts on Smackdown Live would help WWE’s friday night presence. These are big losses to the NXT 2.0 brand, but that show is all about building stars for bigger shows – especially since the rebranding.
