Chantel Jimeno Visits Pedro’s Mum, Lidia
Before the couple filed for a divorce, fans watched Pedro maltreat his wife, and many of these fans supported Chantel, claiming that she had tried to make their marriage work. Imagine everyone’s surprise when they saw Chantel trying to fix the marriage on the August 8 episode of the Family Chantel show.
Chantel had flown down to the Dominican Republic to meet with Pedro’s mother, Lidia, to discuss how their relationship with Pedro could be salvaged. She went along with a pair of Gucci sunglasses as a “peace offering,” knowing that Lidia was hardly in support of her relationship with her son. Lidia called her son to inform him about Chantel’s visit, and Pedro got furious; he accused Chantel of lying to him about the visit, and Chantel wondered why he was bothered because he did the same with her family and she thought to “return the favor.” She also pointed out that she could have a reasonable conversation with his mother and expected that he would be glad that happened, but instead, Pedro thinks Chantel only made matters worse.
It seems Chantel was convincing enough as Lidia empathized with her and agreed to have a sit down with the couple so they could discuss what their relationship would be like going forward. Although the two filed for a restraining order against each other, it is possible to make their relationship work.
