Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez were recently NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions – until Jade showed her true colours. She’d turn on her one time best friend, and would throw her half of the belts in the trash. Tonight, she needs to stand in the ring with a furious Roxanne Perez – in a big time grudge match between two of the future female stars of WWE.
Diamond Mine Has A Big Issue
Before this match could get started, Diamond Mine would hit the ring. Julius Creed has been watching their eight man tag team match with The D’Angelo Family on repeat recently – trying to find just what went wrong. Tonight, he intends to reveal the issue – and hold a member of Diamond Mine responsible.
Creed would have the microphone in hand – and said that a year ago, he had a chance of the lifetime alongside his brother Brutus. He could learn under one of the all time greats in Roderick Strong. What followed was winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and NXT Tag Team Championships – proof of Diamond Mine working.
Recently, there’s issues in the faction – and someone is trying to bring them down. Someone is pulling them down – and it’s Roderick Strong. He’d say that he started Diamond Mine to raise younger talents, and the crowd would chant that they don’t need Strong. Julius & Brutus would stand together against Strong, leaving just Damon Kemp on the side of Strong.
He’d pull up the clip of Strong hitting a knee in the face of Creed – claiming he was in cahoots with D’Angelo. NXT UK faction Gallus would strike from behind, and they were not on the side of Roderick Strong. Her’d be beaten down as well, and it seems clear that Gallus is here to run NXT 2.0.
One Heated Grudge Match Between Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade
Perez would rush the ring and get right after Jade, hitting the Thesz Press – before two suicide dives to the floor. In the ring, she’d get the two count, before Jade would look for the suplex. Perez blocked before hitting a dropkick to the side of the face.
Jade would regain control on the floor, hitting a snap suplex – and accepting a potential count out victory. Perez would get back into the ring, but was able to avoid an elbow drop. Jade would still manage to keep in control, choking Perez in the corner.
Perez would look for the Russian Leg Sweep, before Jade would counter into a pinfall. Jade would get a two count, before Perez would bridge back to her feet. Now in full control, she’d hit the running uppercut and Russian Leg Sweep for a two count. Jade avoided Pop Rocks before a unique facebuster got her a near fall.
Perez would be tempted to use the kendo stick of Jade – but would choose to win in an honest way. Jade hit a DDT onto the stick, and got the win tonight.
