Matt Hardy knows his career isn’t going to last much longer, and is looking to go out with a bang. Tonight – he goes one on one with a man who wrestles like a young version of his brother, that being Darby Allin. It’s a high stakes singles match for Hady at this stage of his career – and keeping up with Allin might not be an easy task.
Darby Allin Goes High Risk And Pays The Price
After a handshake of mutual respect to start this match, they’d lock up hard. Allin would be able to get a wrist lock on Hardy out of the Collar & Elbow lockup – before ending up in a headlock. Allin was able to wiggle free and take Hardy down to the mat with a headlock of his own.
Hardy would fight free, before dropping Allin with the running shoulder tackle. He’d go for some Delete chants, but ended up in a Crucifix pin for the two count. Hardy was sent to the floor, before Allin would take him out with the dive. Allin would shove Hardy head first into the steel steps, before setting up the Swanton Bomb to the apron.
Hardy was able to roll out of the way, before hitting a powerbomb right into the ring post. Back into the ring, Hardy kept the pressure on with some shoulder thrusts into the back. Allin was whipped across the ring and into the turnbuckle before the sitout powerbomb for a two count.
House Of Black Want To Prove They’re Still Dangerous
Allin would be able to kick Hardy in the face before hitting some running Coffin Splashes – using this injured back as a weapon. Hardy would be able to nail the Side Effect before calling for Twist Of Fate. He telegraphed it too much, with Allin able to block into a backslide for a two count. Hardy would look for a brainbuster, but ended up spiked with the Scorpion Deathlock.
Allin would go up top and was taken down hard with the Black Tiger Bomb for a near fall. Hardy would look for a moonsault press but missed and took the Code Red for a two count. Last Supper pinfall was applied, and Allin would claim the victory.
After the match, Brody King & Julia Hart of House of Black would emerge. Hardy was dropped with a lariat before King would demand Sting & Darby Allin get their asses out there. King claims that they might have cut the head off of the snake, but there’s a lot of venom left.
He’d call for House of Black vs. Allin & Sting in a No DQ match – for next week at Grand Slam! King would choke Hardy over the ropes until the match was accepted. Can House of Black defeat Allin & Sting?
