Britney Spears has made it clear that she will not be making a return to the entertainment industry.

There were expectations that the musician could make a return following the end of her 13-year conservatorship. This was reinforced following the release of her single, ‘Hold Me Closer’ featuring Elton John.
The single received a positive response, as it hit number one in many countries. While it showed that Britney was still relevant as ever, she has ruled out a comeback.
In her comments, she said: “14 years later after being humiliated … it’s WAY too late for that … again I’d rather stay home and s— in my f—ing pool than join the entertainment business … the truth is a f—ing b—-.”
This is entirely understandable since there is no need for Britney to make a return. She is now in control of her financial affairs, while her personal life is also going great. She recently married Sam Asghari, as the duo plan on having a family.
Although those plans did suffer a setback when Britney suffered an alleged miscarriage, on balance, she has come a long way. And yet, there is always a prospect that Britney could make a return on her own terms.
She has a massive following, which grew even more following the rise of the #Free Britney Movement, and that could play to her advantage.
The fans on social media, though, were not too enthusiastic about having Britney return amid rumours that Will.i.am could collaborate with her.
A certain subset of people felt she had her time in the industry, and therefore, she was not as relevant as she once had been. One person wrote: “Oh god please no. I’d rather have no new music at all than another Britney/WillIAm collab.
