Since forming after the excellent Jon Moxley vs. Bryan Danielson match at AEW Revolution 2022, the Blackpool Combat Club has become one of the best parts of AEW programming. Moxley, Danielson & William Regal would recruit Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli to the group – and potentially could have Daniel Garcia soon as well. However, they’ve yet to court a female member – but Claudio Castagnoli has the perfect name in mind to add to their group to control AEW.
Claudio Castagnoli Wants A Female Member In The Blackpool Combat Club
During his appearance on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Claudio Castagnoli would have a chance to sit down and speak about a potential female member in the ranks of the Blackpool Combat Club. He’d be quoted saying the following.
I think the Blackpool Combat Club could use a female. I’ll pick Serena Deeb probably, I think she’d be a good fit for the faction.”
This is something that many fans have already been saying since the creation of the group. Deeb is considered to be the best technical wrestler in the AEW Women’s division, and has been picking up plenty of wins on AEW Dark & Dark: Elevation over the past few months. She was on AEW Rampage this past Friday, and was able to easily pick Madison Rayne apart.
Covering The Single Flaw Of Serena Deeb
Deeb is someone with an aggressive style in the ring, another trademark of the Blackpool Combat Club. Really her only weakness is in her skills with a microphone – which could be helped by having William Regal speak instead. This is something the BCC has offered to Claudio Castagnoli as well, covering up the rare flaws in his game.
The faction is not really expected to grow that much more. William Regal has stated numerous times that they do not want every great wrestler in the group, as they they won’t have other great wrestlers to test their skills against. One or two more members could bring them to a good number, and it’d be hard to deny adding in a female member.
