At the time, Jann Wenner co-owned Rolling Stone and owned the US Weekly newsletter. In the ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ memoir, the businessman reveals that one of his photographers at US Weekly received a tip from ‘Mrs Smith’ herself’, providing a location and a chance for a story.

According to Jann Wenner, the photographer knew the exact location where the duo spent their day and also knew the time when they will take their daily walk. So he had carefully chosen the spot where he will take the photos and made sure that it appears as if there is already something going on between Jolie and Pitt.
“We got the photo, we got the proof. We had the worldwide scoop, the debut of Brangelina.” – these are Wenner’s words on the matter in his memoir. “The tipster was Angelina.”
Brad Pitt had a short marriage with Jenifer Aniston. The couple had a wedding in 2000 and immediately became the favorite Hollywood couple – until their split. A month after finalizing the divorce, Angelina took Jenifer’s place.
The photos of the new couple were published just a month after Brad Pitt split with Aniston. This fueled the rumors massively, but the new couple didn’t come out with an official statement on their relationship until January 2006 when Jolie revealed she was pregnant with Brad Pitt’s child.
In 2006, the pair got their first biological child, the daughter Shiloh, and shortly after they adopted Maddox and Zahara. The couple shares two more biological children since then, their son Pax and the twins Knox and Vivienne.
Despite being together for nearly a decade, the pair did not marry until 2014. However, shortly after their marriage, in 2016, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce.
Ever since the divorce, the ex-couple entered several legal battles. One of the most complicated ones is the legal decision surrounding their children.
There are reports that confirm Pitt’s relationship with his son Maddox is not good. Or even better, that it is non-existing ever since his split from Jolie. Brad Pitt connected with Maddox, and the worsening of the relationship between them is one of the things that Brad just cannot get over.
“He sent him a gift for his 21st birthday and a loving note as a last-ditch effort to make amends. But he never heard back.” –a source close to Jolie reported near Maddox’s birthday on August 5.
