King Charles III is hopeful that a reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be on the cards.
King Charles III Is Optimistic Of A Reconciliation With The Sussexes-‘There Is Hope Of A Cause For Unity’
This claim centres around the new monarch’s interactions with the couple in and amongst the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
During the course of that process, the royals and the Sussexes reunited to show public unity, despite their differences. This even resulted in Meghan becoming overwhelmed with emotion, as she was pictured with tears on her face.
With that being said, Charles has allegedly been left optimistic that things could finally be resolved. A source said the following: “It remains the case that the King loves both of his children.
“Over the last 16 days or so, there were tremendous flickers of hope. In terms of the future, there is hope of a cause for unity.” Nevertheless, those comments have to be taken with a pinch of salt for the following reasons.
First of all, a large proportion of what happens going forward also depends on the Sussex’s conduct. Harry’s tell-all memoir is expected to come out, the contents of which could be quite damning.
Secondly, Meghan’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast will also continue after having been postponed following Queen Elizabeth II’s death. And once again, there is no guarantee that there will not be further revelations on the podcast that may damage the royals.
The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. A certain subset of people felt that there could not be a full reconciliation until King Charles III did more to make the Duke of Sussex feel welcome.
One person wrote: “If Charles wants to see reconciliation between his two boys, he must welcome the prodigal son fully into the family & treat them both as equals.”
