This claim centres around the fact that Meghan did have an unexpected rise from a cable TV actress on ‘Suits’ into marrying someone from the Royal Family.
This has led to suggestions that her current lucrative deals with Spotify and Netflix would not have been possible without the presence of Harry.
This is primarily due to the fact that Meghan has the ‘Duchess of Sussex’ title which was ultimately given following her wedding. And yet, Meghan sought to hit back at that ‘archetype,’ on the very same said podcast.
In her conversation with Mindy Kaling, Meghan said: “When I started dating my husband and got engaged, everyone was like ‘oh my God you’re so lucky he chose you!
“And at a certain point after you hear it a million times over, you think ‘Well I chose him too?” But that was not the only thing that Meghan let slip. Her following comments suggested that Harry was backing up her thoughts.

With that being said, it is possible to suggest that the Duke of Sussex has been supportive of Meghan’s recent bombshell revelations. After all, Meghan did admit that Harry was helping to fight the misconceptions around her.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “Thankfully I had a partner who was countering that narrative for me and going: ‘They’ve got it all wrong, I’m the lucky one cause you chose me.’
“It’s gendered and archetyped and stereotyped that you’re lucky.” The fans on social media slammed Meghan over these comments.
A significant proportion of fans made it clear that the ‘Duchess of Sussex’ would not have made the inroads in her career without Harry.
One person wrote: “Prince Harry, he would be more lucky to marr[y] a dog not your hypocrite wife Meghan Markle.”
