Meghan Markle’s statement that a fire had broken out in South Africa in Archie’s nursery has allegedly been backed up by a security source.
Meghan Markle’s Archie Fire Story Backed Up By Source
The Duchess of Sussex received heavy backlash for the manner in which she came across when she described the incident on her ‘Archetypes’ podcast.
During the course of that process, Meghan was not happy that she had to attend another royal engagement following news of the fire.
But since Archie was not present in the room, coupled with the fact that there were conflicting narratives about whether there had been any fire, it has now been backed up by a source.
A source told The Citizen the following: “[Meghan got a message about a] fire. When we got to the house the house-keeper called me and showed me the heater that was burnt.
“And told me what happened and said the child was not in the room at the time the heater burnt.”
Aside from this incident, Meghan had received further backlash when she described the accommodation that she was staying in as a ‘housing unit.’
And all of this had created a negative perception towards Africa, the place where Harry and Meghan had been spending time together romantically prior to their marriage.

One such report even claims that Prince William had to intervene and reassure the High Commissioner that things were well between the two countries.
Despite this being backed up, the fans on social media were still not convinced. This was simply on the basis that Meghan had not spoken about this earlier even in her Oprah Winfrey interview.
One person wrote: “Why the hell is this coming out 3 yrs later???? Oh right…to remain *relevant*.
“Try being IN the room with the fire and then having to stay in hospital for smoke inhalation on Christmas Day.”
It is fair to say that the sooner this controversy dies down, then the better it is for everyone. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
