Meghan Markle’s popularity has continued to dwindle since her exit from the Royal Family in 2020.
Meghan Markle’s Popularity Has Dwindled Following Latest Poll
That is according to a new poll. A group of around 2,000 people were asked to name which members of the Royal Family they admired the most. During the course of that process, Prince William and Kate Middleton came out on top.
Meanwhile, Meghan did not fare very well to say the least. Out of the 10 members that were named, Meghan came 8th with only Prince George and Prince Edward below her respectively. As for Prince Harry, he came in a respectable fifth position.
This is hardly a surprise for the following reasons. First of all, Meghan alienated the British public further with her controversial interview with ‘The Cut.’
It ultimately coincided with the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, as well as being shortly before the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II. In addition, some of her revelations in the interview were questioned.
One such revelation was that a South African cast member of the Lion King had allegedly told her that people celebrated her marrying into the Royal Family, just as they had done when Nelson Mandela was released from prison.
And as the only cast member who fitted that description made it clear that he did not meet Meghan, that did raise a few eyebrows.
The fans on social media media began to bash Meghan in light of the findings. A certain subset of people could not help but mock Meghan since she was just above Prince George in the rankings, who is still just a child.
One person wrote: “Lol so she competes with children?? I’m pretty sure there should be an age requirement.” Clearly, Meghan has to take steps in order to rebrand herself as she is not the most popular member as of yet.
