The Duchess of Sussex joined Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Prince William in order to pay their respects for Queen Elizabeth II following her passing.
And as part of that process, each of them greeted the crowd who were there to support the family. While that may have been the case, it seems that Meghan’s appearance did not go down very well with everyone.
In the video here, we can see Meghan reaching out to shake the hands of various people. One woman can be seen not extending her hands out, as Meghan then walks past her.
As that happens, the woman appears to be whispering something to the person next to her while smiling at the same time. This was hardly a surprise, given Meghan’s conduct prior to the monarch’s passing.
Her controversial comments made on her ‘Archetypes’ podcast on Spotify and with ‘The Cut’ faced a lot of backlash since they coincided with the 25th anniversary of the late Princess Diana’s death.
Not only that, but who could forget Meghan’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview which coincided with the late Prince Philip’s deterioration in health.
And all of this demonstrates that Meghan needs to rebrand herself, as it is clear that her popularity is low in the UK. The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter.
A certain subset of people were of the view that Meghan had nobody to blame but herself in light of the reaction being shown by the public. And in the process, the comments towards her were quite brutal indeed.
One person wrote: “We feel the same way in the US! Please keep her. #GoHomeMeghanMarkle,” while another person stated: “Hey Megan leave them Brits alone!! #GoHomeMeghanMarkle.”
