‘Ms Universe World International’ Kerri Parker has been left heartbroken after she received one of the last letters that were sent out by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
‘Ms Universe World International’ And Brain Tumour Patient Kerri Parker ‘Heartbroken’ Following Queen Elizabeth’s Death
The monarch’s recent passing has left the country in mourning, as people brave the cold temperatures in order to queue up and get a glimpse of her coffin.
This particularly hit home for Kerri since she happened to have attended the Platinum Jubilee Garden Party in July.
It just so happens that Kerri has been struggling with a brain tumour, and her courage resulted in her raising more than $18,000 for the charity, Brain Tumour Research.
And after having attended the party, Kerri wrote a thank you letter to the Queen, the response to which she has received now. Naturally, things started to become a little overwhelming for her.
In her comments, Kerri said: “I just can’t believe it – my name and what I’ve done for Brain Tumour Research was one of the last things that she’d have seen, as far as correspondence goes.”
Despite the sadness that Kerri was feeling, it is important to remember that she did manage to make a significant contribution to others that were suffering from similar issues.
And her actions may inspire others to follow a similar approach after having seen the impact that she managed to make. Although that does nothing to soften the blow that people have been suffering due to the late monarch’s death, it is important to not get overwhelmed.
And yet, there was no denying Kerri was still shocked by the recent events. Her following comments confirmed as much: “It’s such a wonderful tribute and must have been one of her last letters.
“It’s a little bit of history, something I’ll treasure that broke my heart a little. I’m still in shock, it’s crazy.” It is fair to say that Kerri has left her mark on the world.
