Piers Morgan has reacted to the news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children have been given royal titles.

The firm is now being presided over by King Charles III following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. And as part of that process, the shake-up of the firm has already begun with titles being granted.
This resulted in Archie and Lilibet being granted the right to be a Prince and Princess respectively. This did not sit very well with Piers, as it suggested that there was a huge contradiction in what Meghan had said earlier with regards to titles and her children.
In his comments, he said: “REMINDER: Princess Pinocchio told the world on Oprah that her son was barred from being a Prince because of his skin colour.”
Nevertheless, those comments have to be taken with a pinch of salt. First of all, this does not necessarily mean that Meghan’s claims were untrue at the time.
There could have been some credence to this, with perhaps things changing now that the Queen had passed. After all, by not granting the children any titles, it could have worsened relations.
Secondly, even if it did turn out that Meghan was not being truthful, perhaps it was not the best time to call her out on this, since her husband Prince Harry will be mourning.
The response on social media towards this was mixed. A certain subset of people agreed with what Piers had to say, as it demonstrated that Meghan’s credibility could be questioned.
Meanwhile, others were of the view that his comments were inappropriate in light of what had happened. One person wrote: “Reminder – her husband has just lost his grandmother.
“Shove the one dimensional view you hold somewhere the sun don’t shine!” Now that the titles have been given, this can be put to bed once and for all.
