That is according to commentator Kara Kennedy. The Sussexes have attempted to rebrand in the United States by trying to cross over into the celebrity world.
This has included Meghan’s appearance on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show,’ in addition to her planned appearance on the ‘Jimmy Fallon Show,’ that was canceled following Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
Much in the same way, Harry has shown a willingness to do the same as shown by his appearance on the ‘Late Late Show with James Corden.’ But for all their attempts, they simply do not have the charisma that is needed to be an A-list couple.
In her comments, Kara said: “Modern-day stardom is about more than name recognition. It takes charisma, dedication and charm.
“For all their striving, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just don’t have it. Britain has realized this — and Hollywood is starting to realize it too.”
One of the reasons why Kara felt this way was the perception that the attention would always be on the Sussexes, which could have the impact of overshadowing whatever engagement they attended.
This was also the concern when they made their return to the UK for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. And it also explains why the couple may not have been allowed to appear on the palace balcony.
Kara’s following comments confirmed as much: “The main reason for them being excluded is that organisers know that all media attention would be on them and take away from the event or people there to celebrate.”
The fans on social media were not surprised by this revelation. And in the process of doing so, people felt they had to do more to be accepted.
One person wrote: “Just like any other industry, you have to work to be accepted. You can’t just stroll in because you have a title without doing the work.”
