Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to the United States without having reconciled with the Royal Family.
The Sussexes Have Failed To Reconcile With The Royals-Says Meghan’s Friend Gayle King
That is according to Meghan’s friend Gayle King. There had been hopes that the Sussexes and the royals would have been able to put their rifts aside.
After all, despite their differences, they did manage to show public unity at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. Not only that, but their presence at Windsor was received well when they walked alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton.
But for all that effort, it has not been enough to make things right. In her comments, she said: “There have been efforts on both sides … to sort of make this right.
“Big families always go through drama, always go through turmoil. It remains to be seen — are they going to be drawn closer together or are they going to be drawn apart? I have no idea.”
This should not come as a surprise for the following reasons. First of all, there are still some issues that need addressing. Harry’s tell-all Memoir is still expected to come out, which has been a source of contention.
Not only have the royals allegedly not been given a transcript of what it could include, the timing of the release has been questioned even more in light of the late monarch’s passing.
Secondly, it is not clear how the Sussexes will deal with the royals going forward. Will Meghan continue to make disclosures on her ‘Archetypes’ podcast.
After all, she has made it clear that she has not signed a non-disclosure agreement as well as admitting that she kept a journal during her time in the Royal Family.
And with so much yet to resolve, the fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. One person wrote: “How can there be peace, H and M trash the family on a weekly basis. Disgusting.”
It is fair to say that there is still a long way to go before things can be resolved. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
