That is according to Lady Colin Campbell. Her comments were made in response to King Charles III making his first speech as the monarch. During the course of that process, he happened to mention Harry and Meghan.
In doing so, he made it very clear that he still had affection for the pair by wishing them well in their new lives overseas. And it was the reference to that which drew many talking points.
In her comments, Lady Campbell said: “I thought he was also brilliant, in the way he love bombed Harry and Meghan, and made it absolutely clear that they have no parts to play.
“And I know they don’t want to have a part to play but I don’t think there’s much of a way back for them, even if they did want to have a part to play.”

On reflection, this was a wise move by Charles. It demonstrates a public show of unity, which has now made it much more difficult for Harry and Meghan to speak out against the royals.
After all, it would be seen as another slap in the face, as well as the fact that the royals would be able to command public support given they have made it known on record that they have no ill-will towards the Sussexes.
That is something that really impressed Lady Campbell. Her following comments confirmed as much: “And I think it’s the way he handled things was very decorous, delicate but firm.
“I was very impressed with the tone of his speech, and all of the main bullet points. He ticked every box.” Charles has a difficult task of taking over from Queen Elizabeth II, but it seems he has made a good start.
