Reports emerge that Prince Harry intentionally left earlier and dodged dinner with his father, King Charles, and his brother Prince William after the King banned Meghan Markle from joining the family at Balmoral.
The Queen died peacefully on September 8th and according to inside sources, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were on their way to Royal Deeside as soon as they found out. However, they changed their plans mid-way as they learned that King Charles made Meghan Markle unwelcome.
Prince Harry Dodged The Dinner With His Father And Brother After King Charles Banned Meghan Markle From Balmoral
King Charles III called Prince Harry and told him that it is ‘inappropriate’ for Meghan to be at the Royal Deeside, resulting in Prince Harry continuing his trip alone.
Prince Harry, frustrated by the fact that he needs to continue alone, decided to intentionally miss his flight to Scotland. He eventually landed in Aberdeen without his spouse. He arrived five minutes after the news about Queen’s passing was announced to the world.
According to the Sun, about an hour and a half afterward, Prince Harry arrived at Balmoral alone. He immediately refused dinner with King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, and his brother William.
Rumors state that the younger Prince went on and ate several miles away. He went to Balmoral Castle, together with Edward and Andrew. Edward’s wife, Sophie attended the dinner as well, as she was permitted entrance with the other royals on the RAF plane.
“Harry was so busy trying to get Meghan to Balmoral and rowing with his family that he missed the flight. Charles has an open invitation for Harry to dine with him whenever he is in the country.” – an inside source in the Balmoral said. “But Harry was so furious that he refused to eat with his father and brother. It was a massive snub. And he got out of Balmoral at the earliest opportunity to catch the first commercial flight back to London.”
The following day, Prince Harry flew to Heathrow early in the morning to meet with Meghan Markle. He reunited with her at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor.
Seeing how frustrated Prince Harry is, his brother, Prince William took him and Meghan to Windsor Castle the next day. They walked together and greeted well-wishers together.
King Charles III lowered his strictness and allowed Prince Harry to wear a uniform as the remaining seven grandchildren of the late Queen.
At his address after the Queen’s burial, King Charles III also wished well to his children. He addressed Meghan and Harry separately. “I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.” On Tuesday, Harry and Meghan were already back in California.
