Prince William and Kate Middleton were reportedly shocked by Meghan’s confidence in her royal engagements.
William And Kate Were Shocked By Meghan’s ‘Impressive, Capable And Confident’ Demeanour On Royal Engagements
That is according to royal expert Katie Nicholl in her book entitled, ‘The New Royals.’ The Duchess of Sussex made her appearance at the Royal Foundation Forum in 2018, as the Fab Four took to the stage.
During the course of that process, it seems William and Kate were impressed by the manner in which Meghan came across. After all, Meghan could have been forgiven for feeling nervous since she was in the early stages of her royal life.
But her foundation as an actress may have downplayed any nerves that she was feeling. With that being said, William and Kate realised they had to up their game too.
In her comments, Katie said: “Meghan was the breakout star of the foursome. She was polished, passionate and funny, using all her TV-honed skills to present her case.
“That was a wake-up moment for William and Kate when they realized that Meghan was very impressive, very confident and very capable.”
Nevertheless, things would continue to deteriorate since then. Relations with the Fab Four have been at an all-time low, even if they did reunite to pay their respects for the late Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor.
And by having two strong personalities in the form of Meghan and Kate, it was not surprising to hear that there was turmoil. After all, Meghan accused Kate of making her cry in the run up to her wedding, while Tom Bower alleges that the opposite had happened.
The fans on social media, though, had a different take on the matter. A certain subset of people felt that Meghan’s influence was not as big as what had been put across.
One person wrote: “OMG. Stop being so ridiculous. That loser is about as “polished, passionate and funny” as a piece of poorly-cut glass pretending to be a diamond.”
