Prince William is reportedly still waiting for his brother, Prince Harry, to hand out an olive branch by way of an apology amid Queen Elizabeth’s passing.
William DEMANDS Apology From Harry Amid Queen Elizabeth’s Passing
This is a claim centres around the damage that has been done to the Royal Family due to Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.
Not only were the allegations damning, with suggestions that someone had reservations about Archie’s skin colour and Meghan’s alleged suicidal thoughts, but there were also grievances that this was aired publicly when it could have been discussed behind closed doors.
And ever since that moment, relations between William and Harry have been frosty. William had reportedly refused to make eye contact with Harry at the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at St Pauls’ Cathedral.
Meanwhile, the Sussexes failed to visit the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have also been given the title of Cornwall, despite having been in the UK for their two events at the ‘One Young World Summit’ and the ‘Well Child Awards.’
After all, Harry only made his way once to Balmoral amid news of the monarch’s bad health and then passing. And it appears that nothing will happen until Harry reaches out.
A source confirmed the following: “People are desperate for steps to be made but behind the scenes, there hasn’t been movement. [Prince William is] still waiting [for an apology].”
If those comments are taken to be true, then they are very significant for the following reasons. First of all, it demonstrates that Harry will have to decide if his family is worth fighting for.
Secondly, if Harry does apologise, then there will be question marks over the credibility of the claims made in the Oprah interview. After all, why would someone apologise for something that they claimed to be true.
Time will tell how the two brothers navigate their issues going forward, but based on what we have seen so far, things are not so straight forward.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
