Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent release of their portrait was designed to hit back at the Royal Family.
Harry And Meghan’s Portrait Photo Was All About Building ‘Brand Meghan,’ Says Tom Bower
That is according to Tom Bower. The Sussexes released the following image in which they were shown to be holding hands. This was taken during their recent visit to the UK for the One Young World Summit.
While the visit was ultimately clouded by the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the couple appear to be getting on with business-as-usual by showing a united front in the photo. With that being said, Tom felt that the intentions from the photo were very clear.
In his comments, he said: “It was all about, we’re back now on course to build Brand Meghan and the book, the Netflix series, the podcast. Everything is money.
“And to their advantage, they were in the public eye for seven days during the funeral or more, every day they were filmed.” These comments may have some credence for the following reasons.
First of all, just shortly prior to this photo being released, Buckingham Palace did a similar thing. They released a portrait which showed a new Fab Four in the form of King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Secondly, the Sussexes are now pressing ahead with their ventures following the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. This has been most notably seen by the return of Meghan’s Archetypes podcast on Spotify that came back on Tuesday, 4th October 2022.
The sentiment on social media was much the same. A certain subset of people felt that Meghan would be looking to capitalise on everything that she could.
One person wrote: “Kate is epitome of pure Class, an innate quality. Megs on the other hand is the Tonya Harding of the pair. Always conniving to position herself in better standing.”
It is fair to say that the photograph of the Sussexes did not go down well. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
