Prince Harry looks completely miserable amid claims that he misses royal life.
Harry Looks ‘Utterly Miserable’ With Meghan-Says Royal Expert Hugo Vickers
That is according to royal expert Hugo Vickers. This claim was based on the precedent set by other royals who had left the firm in order to go their own way. And as part of that process, a comparison was made with Harry’s great-granduncle, Edward VIII.
In doing so, Edward abdicated after receiving backlash to his marriage with Wallis Simpson. And as that was not a bed of roses, Hugo expects a similar thing to happen with Harry.
In his comments, Hugo said: “As for members of the Royal family stepping away, I don’t think it usually leads to happiness in the long run. I don’t think it did with the Duke of Windsor.
“As for the Duke of Sussex, who knows what is going to happen to him, but he looks utterly miserable.” Nevertheless, this does appear to be Harry’s future moving forward.
First of all, King Charles III made it very clear in his first speech to the nation that he wished Harry and Meghan Markle the best with their lives ‘overseas.’
Secondly, there is too much water under the bridge following controversial comments in the Oprah Winfrey interview, and ‘The Cut.’ Lastly, in any event, it was clear that Meghan failed to settle down in the firm.
As such, even if Harry wanted to come back to the firm, there is the obvious consideration of whether this is in the best interests of his wife too.
The fans on social media resonated with Hugo’s comments. A certain subset felt Harry had lost his individuality after having married Meghan.
One person wrote: “He’s not happy because he has no power. He’s a dog on lead for Markle to walk & have her friends pet him, every now and then. U made your bed.Lie in it.”
