Prince William’s former private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton has revealed that Kate Middleton calls the shots in the family.
Kate Middleton Calls The Shots In The Family-‘She Is A Matriarch,’ Says William’s Former Private Secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton
These comments arrive following the couple’s latest Prince and Princess of Wales titles. And with that, Kate has some very huge steps to follow in.
After all, the title has synonymously been referred to the late Princess Diana due to the mass popularity she had generated. And much like Diana, the importance of family is something that Kate places a lot of emphasis on.
In doing so, Kate has been there to offer William a helping hand, as when it is needed. In an interview with People, Jamie said: “She is a matriarch.
“Not in the sense of an older woman in a twin set and pearls, but she guides the family and advises [William] when he wants it.” Nevertheless, Middleton recognises that she has to forge her own path as a Princess.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams previously spoke about how Kate and Diana had different paths, despite the similarities between the pair.
After all, Kate has had the fortunate experience of learning from other royals such as the late Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Consort Camilla, who previously occupied the Princess of Wales title.
And that will allow her to stay true to herself, irrespective of the expectations to conform to a certain way. In some prior comments, Richard remarked: “Kate won’t just be a slightly modernised copy of the “people’s princess” of the 1980s.
“Diana and Catherine are completely different personalities. Catherine has had over a decade to successfully make her own identity as a hardworking royal.”
This point was particularly pertinent since it was only just the passing of the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. And given the huge legacy that she left behind, Middleton has the chance to do the same for herself.
And being a Princess of Wales could be a part of that. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
