Meghan Markle was pictured at Spotify’s female employee-group, Women@Spotify, which aims to encourage inclusivity.
Meghan Markle Champions Iranian Women’s Human Rights At Spotify Event
The Duchess of Sussex happened to attend alongside her other colleagues from the Archwell Foundation: Mandana Dayani and Ashley Momtaheni.
And as part of that process, the two were delighted to be at the event which was seen as a sign of female empowerment.
In the picture here, we can see that the President of Archwell Mandana is standing next to Meghan, who is joined by Ashley on the other side. They have massive smiles on their faces and could not be any happier.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “I am so grateful to work with incredible women like Meghan and my fellow Iranian colleague and friend, Ashley Momtaheni.
“We continue to highlight the bravery and courage of the women and young girls on the frontlines of one of the most important feminist movements of our lives.”
The Duchess of Sussex ended up addressing a variety of issues, one of which included the situation in Iran. Women have begun to burn the hijab in protest at what they believe to be a curb on their freedoms after an Iranian woman had allegedly died in police custody.
And given that Mandana was born in Iran, coupled with the fact that Meghan showed outward support for the cause, that did go down well.
In another image here, we can see that Meghan is wearing a black top that has something written on it in Farsi, the Iranian language. It was translated as saying the following: “Women. Life. Freedom.”
The fans on social media praised Meghan for putting her support behind this cause. And in the process, the comments were very warm indeed. One person wrote: “How cool is this! Way to go, bud!”
It is fair to say that Meghan did leave quite an impression at the event. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
