Meghan Markle reportedly hired a fact-checker for her podcast ‘Archetypes’ on Spotify.
Meghan Markle Hires Fact-Checker To Stop Herself Getting Exposed
The podcast is set to return on Tuesday, 4th October 2022 after having been postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
But now that the mourning period is over, coupled with the fact that the funeral has been held, Meghan’s podcast is expected to pick up from where it left off.
As such, there is a possibility that the public could hear further controversial claims made against the royals. And if that were the case, the presence of a fact-checker would go some way in helping her cause.
The fact-checker in question is none other than American writer, Nicole Pasulka. And by the looks of it, she does appear qualified for the job.
In a description of herself on her website, Nicole said the following: “I write about criminal justice, activism, race, music, business, queer culture, and gender.”
It is entirely understandable for the Duchess of Sussex to do this for the following reasons. First of all, her claims have already been called out on the basis that they were not authentic.
This was most notably seen during the first episode of her podcast with Serena Williams where there was a controversy over whether or not there had been a fire in her son Archie’s nursery during Meghan’s Royal South African tour.
Secondly, Meghan’s claim in ‘The Cut’ interview about a South African cast member rejoicing at her wedding like people had done when Nelson Mandela was released from prison was also questioned.
After all, the only cast member who fitted that description stated that he had never met Meghan. The fans on social media could not help but laugh about the whole situation.
A certain subset felt that it was too late for Meghan to salvage her reputation, as her contradictions had been exposed. One person wrote: “It’s a bit late to start worrying now.”
