Photos have emerged which suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took part in a discussion concerning gender equality during their recent UK visit.
Photos Show Harry And Meghan Had Discussion On Gender Equality During UK Visit
The Sussexes happened to be in the UK in order to attend two charitable initiatives: the One Young World Summit and the Well Child Awards.
While the former went ahead, the latter was cancelled due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. With that being said, it is claimed that Harry and Meghan had a discussion about inclusivity that was chaired by disability activist Sinéad Burke.
As part of that process, they were allegedly joined by 8 other people to have that conversation. One of those people included none other than civil rights activist Isra Chaker.
Isra just so happens to be the founder of the Empowerment Initiative for Rural Women and Girls-Zambia. And by the looks of it, the conversation went down very well as shown in the picture here.
In her comments, Isra said: “Participating in the roundtable discussion focused on inclusion, immigrant rights, and gender equality with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was an incredible experience.”
Much in the same way, others had a similar positive experience. Misan Harriman has managed to photograph the Sussexes on quite a few occasions. And once again he was thankful for being able to be in a discussion of such magnitude.
In his comments, he remarked: “It was a wonderful atmosphere earlier this month at the roundtable discussion about gender equality hosted by @oneyoungworld in Manchester.”
The fans on social media were not convinced by this initiative. A certain subset of people felt this was simply another PR move designed to improve their reputation given the timing of it. After all, it has been revealed following the late monarch’s passing.
One person wrote: “These two never do any real work or have lasting impact. It’s all PR, flash in the pan. Here today gone tomorrow.” So there you have it folks.
