Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archwell Foundation has reportedly collaborated with a venture known as the VING Project.
Harry And Meghan Use Archwell In New $1 Million Philanthropy Project
According to reports, this is an organisation that aims to help the next generation of young philanthropists. And as part of that process, it will celebrate women who have made a difference.
It is alleged that teenagers ranging from 14-18 will have the opportunity to nominate women who have made a significant difference in inspiring people and overcome adversity in the process.
These teenagers chosen will get a $1,000 grant to be given to those who have made a change, with $1 million apparently on offer. In an official statement made by the Duchess of Sussex, she said: “Two things that bring me great joy are supporting women.
“By donating $1 million in grants to women in need, our hope is not to only provide support where it may be felt deepest, but also empower young adults to embrace the gift of giving at an early age.”
This venture arrives in the aftermath of the Sussexes recent visit to the UK for the ‘One Young World Summit.’ This event was designed to pay homage and celebrate young leaders from across the globe who came together.
With that being said, the couple’s VENTURE project is another step in empowering the next generation. The fans on social media, however, did not have the best possible reaction towards this.
A certain subset of people felt that Meghan’s conduct post her royal exit demonstrated anything other than someone who was in empowering people. And in the process, the comments towards her were very harsh indeed.
One person wrote: “MM is a nobody! I would never buy or support a magazine company who supports MM. She does not deserve any recognition at all. The hole she has dug for herself is only getting bigger.”
With the project offering so much, time will tell if it lives up to the hype. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
