Prince William’s Friends Were Not Convinced By Kate But She Showed Them Who Is Boss
That is according to royal expert Katie Nicholl. The couple have managed to defy any reservations by celebrating their 10th anniversary last year.
During the course of this process, they managed to welcome three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. They are also embarking on their new roles as Prince and Princess of Wales respectively.
While that may be the case, not everyone saw potential in Middleton. Despite being from a wealthy family, Kate was allegedly not seen as good enough in comparison to William’s ‘snobby’ friends.
In her comments, Katie said: “William’s friends…would whisper rather snidely when Kate would turn up at Boujis, which is the nightclub that they used to go to in West London, ‘Doors to manual.
“Obviously, that is a bit of a put-down. It’s a bit of a derogatory reference to Carole’s career as an air hostess.”
That could have easily led to Kate being affected, as this would be a taste of things that she could potentially experience had she married into the Royal Family. But rather than letting this get on top of her, Kate took things in her stride.
And this served as an example that she was ready to handle the scrutiny of being in the limelight. Katie’s following comments confirmed as much: “She ignored being called “Kate Middle Class” and dismissed the “Glosse Posse” calling her “new money.”
The fans on social media were full of praise for Kate. A certain subset of people felt that she had now managed to come out of her shell and show everyone her true self.
One person wrote: “She sure has come a long way, no more hiding behind her arm anymore. Now she confidently approaches the camera and people with a lovely smile. The late Queen was a great teacher.”
