The former star of ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ shocked the fan base when she decided to marry Cuffe after only one month of dating.
And it was not surprising, then, that the relationship broke down soon after with the pair apparently annulling the marriage after only two months.
And now that she has managed to have some time to digest it all, Meghan recognised that she made a huge blunder in getting married in the first place.
In her comments, she said: “I was in a position of, like, almost desperation to have a partner…to share in beautiful moments and help shoulder the burden of more difficult moments.
“I think through that desperation, I made a rash decision to get married quickly.” This is entirely understandable since Meghan has failed to settle down since leaving her ex-husband Jim Edmonds.
The latter has managed to move on by getting married again, while Meghan has not been so lucky. And given that she is a single mother, coupled with the fact that her son Hart does have health issues, she was keen on finding someone that could support her.
But through it all, she recognised the importance of focusing on herself and getting her house in order.
Meghan’s following comments confirmed as much: “That taught me a big lesson that I need to figure out how to be good within myself and my children, our own little family unit.
“It’s hard, but I cannot put them through that or myself through that again, and I won’t do it.” At the very least, Meghan knows exactly what she is looking for in a relationship.
And with time, her experience with Cuffe will die down. The only way for her to achieve that is to move on with someone else. Time will tell if she can. So there you have it folks.
