Royal aides are reportedly discussing whether they can take steps to prevent Prince Harry from publishing his upcoming tell-all memoir.
Royal Aides Are Discussing If They Can Prevent Harry’s Memoir From Being Published
The Duke of Sussex’s memoir has been the centre of attention, especially following the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
There had been hopes that Harry may pull the plug on the book, but this appears unlikely due to the fact that he could end up being in breach of contract.
With that being said, other reports have shown that Harry is making amendments to it in recognition that his grandmother has passed. But that may not be enough for those who want it scrapped.
A source, alleged to be a close friend of King Charles III, was claimed to have said the following: “The question inside the Palace is: ‘Can the book be stopped?
“It may be that even Harry can’t stop it at this stage but the feeling at the very top is that there’s no good that can come of airing grievances in public.”
It would be in the best interest of the new King to have the memoir stopped. There are concerns that Queen Consort Camilla could become a subject of the memoir, as she did happen to have an affair that impacted Harry’s mother Princess Diana.
In addition, any negativity is the last thing that King Charles III needs since he is stepping into the shoes of the longest serving British monarch in history. Regardless of what the case may be, Charles’ plans have been set out for the nation moving forward.
The source’s following comments confirmed as much: “His Majesty will build on the points he has expressed to the nation.
“Now that the period of mourning is over, he will support diversity, promote community spirit and protect the space for those with faith and those without.”
Time will tell how Harry’s memoir ends up unfolding. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
