It seems like we’re on the cusp of seeingreturn to in-ring action following her AEW debut. The former Paige was retired due to a neck injury in 2018, but the former Women’s World Champion is cleared to return to the ring. This is big news for AEW, as while her debut brought in a lot of attention – it was all followed by the condition it would be big if she was cleared. Now, with her in-ring return likely set for later this year at Full Gear 2022? Saraya has named some dream opponents to face in AEW.
Saraya Lists Off Opponents She Hopes To Face In AEW
While appearing on the Talk is Jericho podcast with current ROH World Champion Chris Jericho, Saraya would reveal a handful of names she hopes to work with in AEW. Saraya would be quoted saying the following.
“Britt, 100%. I know she gets used a lot, but she’s really good. I really want to get in the ring with Nyla Rose. I love Sonny Kiss. I know she’s working in the male division, but I would love to work her eventually. Jade Cargill looks really impressive, I’m not really familiar with her wrestling style as much yet because she’s so new. I’m looking forward to seeing where she goes. Jamie Hayter, I think she’s fantastic. People love her. They really want her to be babyface. I’m like, ‘You should really keep this going for a long time.’ There are so many different women I look forward to working with,”
It seems likely her debut match in AEW will be alongside former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker, with seeds already being sowed for that feud since Saraya showed up in AEW. Hayter is another possible option, with AEW setting her up as a future top star of the division – and having a match with Saraya on PPV would do a lot to legitimise her in the eyes of fans who aren’t already clamouring for Hayter to be champion.
