Over the past year, WWE has made a handful of very smart choices – but the retirement of longtime head of the company Vince McMahon really set things in the right direction. With Triple H & Shawn Michaels now in complete control of the creative direction of the company, morale has been improved – and we’ve seen smoother communication between NXT and the WWE main roster shows of Smackdown Live & Monday Night RAW.
Shawn Michaels Notes A Cleaner Path From NXT To Smackdown & RAW Has Booted Morale
While speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Shawn Michaels would have a chance to explain how recent changes in WWE management have improved the flow of talent between NXT and the WWE main roster. He’d be quoted saying the following about this, and how it’s boosted morale.
“Absolutely, yeah. We say that’s where the synergy is. There’s certainly, I would say it’s no secret to anybody that there’s a huge uplift in morale, from top to bottom in the WWE, whether it’s Raw, SmackDown, or NXT, everybody’s very excited for the future.
Look, I’ll say this, the one thing that was always really positive in NXT and again, the positive about all these other former athletes that come in, they were already excited and focused and ready to go.
Now we’ve just made sure that we’ve topped that off and everybody from top to bottom, roster-wise, is excited about the future. All of us working there are equally as excited because we all know that we’re pulling the rope in the same direction.”
We’ve recently seen Legado Del Fantasma & Solo Sikoa called up from NXT. There were changes with Legado, namely keeping Elektra Lopez in NXT while she develops further, and puttling Zelina Vega with the group. Carmelo Hayes is potentially on his way up soon, having appeared on WWE Main Event. Others like Grayson Waller & Joe Gacy were on hand at Extreme Rules, appearing under the costumes of members of The Firefly Funhouse.
