In Baton Rouge, Louisiana six people were hit with an assortment of drug trafficking and gun charges. The six were nabbed in an extensive investigation involving the U.S Department of Justice.
The U.S Department of Justice Charges Six on Drug Trafficking and Firearms Offenses
Corey Anderson (44), Francisco Palma (42), Marco Antonio Filos (40), Juan Villareal (37), Richard Antunez (33), and Brittany Adell Allison (33) were all considered part of what the Department called an “extensive drug trafficking venture.”
Palma received the most charges being hit with money laundering, possession of a gun to further a drug trafficking crime, unlawful use of communications facilities, unlawful travel in aid of a racketeering enterprise, and conspiracy to distribute and to possess cocaine and heroin with intent to distribute.
That last listed charge is often separate as conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute.
Filos was given conspiracy and possession of coke and heroin, unlawful travel, and unlawful use of communications facilities. Villa real was given conspiracy and possession as well as unlawful use.
Conspiracy and possession, distribution of cocaine and heroin, and unlawful use were the charges given to Antunez. Minus the distribution charge, Anderson was hit with the same charges as Antunez: conspiracy and possession alongside unlawful use of communications facilities.
Finally, Allison was charged with money laundering, unlawful use, conspiracy, and possession.
As for what authorities seized, they took drugs such as marijuana, heroin, and coke. Authorities collected some luxury cars, thirteen guns, and roughly $250,000 in money gained via drug trafficking.
