In the days following Nathan Chasing Horse’s arrest on January 31, 2023, we learned more about how the raid went down, what was found, and the actor turned alleged cult leader’s plans.
What Happened During the Raid on Nathan Chasing Horse’s North Las Vegas Residence and What Was Found
The Las Vegas PD and state authorities began watching Nathan Chasing Horse when allegations of sexual abuse began to reach them. Originally, we mentioned that the allegations went back to 2015.
This would’ve been when he was booted from the Fort Peck Reservation in Poplar, Montana for spiritual abuse, sex and drug trafficking, and intimidation. He was voted out of the community in a 7-0 vote.
Authorities would trace further sex and drug crimes in other states and Canada dating back to the early 2000s.
In late January 2023, SWAT moved on a 50-page search warrant which detailed his alleged crimes as well as the belief that there was enough to identify him as the leader of the Circle cult.
Looking at the situation, it appears that Nathan Chasing Horse was well aware that he was being watched by authorities. According to the warrant, Chasing Horse had trained his wives how to use firearms and told them to shoot officers as they were attempting to break up their family.
Not only were the women trained in firearms but there was a sinister failsafe if the police managed to take them down. He had conditioned his five wives to take suicide pills if things escalated past shooting it out with the authorities.
Of course, things didn’t come to Nathan Chasing Horse’s home defense scenario. He was arrested without violence and his family was removed from the house safely. Once inside the house, SWAT discovered several guns, ammo, a memory card with several videos depicting rape, and 41 pounds of magic mushrooms and marijuana.
More charges are expected to be filed with the findings, especially concerning the seized videos.
