In a podcast episode with Tom Segura, he revealed that he often finds himself training even up to 7 hours a day during the challenge. And this is not so approved by Jessica Ditzel. On the quite contrary, she seems to be completely against it.
“I was doing seven hours of cardio. And I watched John Wick 50 times. However, I just kept watching John Wick… And thinking of Bert, one of my friends who participates in the Sober October challenge.” – Joe Rogan revealed.
“That one was just too crazy. But, my wife didn’t like it either. It’s like I became obsessive. I think we all did, we were working out for hours and hours every day.” – Joe Rogan opened up about the challenge influencing his marriage.
Sober October is an internal challenge between Joe Rogan’s friends. The goal is to exit the month the healthiest that you can get. Participants in the challenge achieve this by training, dieting, and avoiding anything unhealthy. Then, alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are a basic no-no.
Joe Rogan and his friends take photos of themselves at the beginning, and at the end of the process. They weigh in at the beginning and at the end of the month as well. Finally, the one losing the most weight and looking healthiest is the winner of the challenge.
Joe Rogan manages to somehow keep his private life – private. Photos of his family and house are a rarity. He almost doesn’t speak about his family publicly at all.
