When Bryan Danielson went one on one with Sammy Guevara, we saw the Guevara who was able to defeat Miro to become TNT Champion. His layers of cockiness were ripped away, the great wrestler underneath was able to shine through over the course of an incredible match. Tonight, they meet once again – but this time, it’s Best Two Out Of Three Falls.

Jericho has instructed Guevara to tear Danielson apart, to ensure the match at Full Gear over the ROH World Championship ends up as a triple threat, which would benefit the Jericho Appreciation Society. Danielson is also happy when someone tries to come at him a second time – as it’s another chance to stomp a head in.

Sammy Guevara Gives Up The First Fall To Hit Danielson With A Chair

Guevara would rush in quickly with a knee strike, but Danielson would dodge and hit some mid-kicks and a stiff uppercut. Guevara would send Danielson across the ring, only for Danielson to backflip off the top rope. Danielson picked up some speed off the ropes, but took a dropkick and was sent from the ring.

Guevara would look for a dive to the floor, before taking an elbow smash to the face. Danielson came off the top rope with a shotgun dropkick, sending Guevara to the floor. Tay Melo would act as a human shield – before Guevara threw a steel chair at the face of Danielson. The first fall would end in a DQ for Danielson, but the damage was done.

Danielson would have his eye attacked with a microphone, Guevara looking to re-injure the eye. He’d be checked by ringside doctors, while Guevara did snow angles in an otherwise empty ring. At ringside, Danielson was down and bleeding – but would find his feet and keep the fight going.

    GTH Ties The Match Up

Back in the ring, Guevara would rain down the right hands to the face of Danielson – aiming for that cut to try and get the blood to drip into the eye. Guevara is showing his violent edge tonight for sure, and even getting two back to back falls could be possible like that. A jumping knee and the GTH would follow, and Guevara would pin Danielson to tie this up 1:1.

Guevara would look to keep the pressure on, putting Danielson on the top rope. Danielson would shove Guevara off, only for him to leap back to the top rope. After a superplex, Danielson would be put in a crossface – and would have a hard time finding the bottom rope – but in the end, would be able to use a rope break to get himself free.

Guevara would look for a dive, only to take a knee strike just below the jaw. He’d roll to the floor, where Danielson followed with a diving knee strike before some chops and kicks to the chest of Guevara. Guevara would turn this around, and hit a running dropkick to the chest, before driving him head first into the ring post.

Bryan Danielson Never Goes Down Without A Fight

Danielson & Guevara would collide in the middle of the ring, with Danielson able to get the pinfall. Tay Melo would pull the leg of the referee, and was ejected from ringside. Danielson & Guevara would trade forearm shots, before taking a thumb to the eye. Guevara would still find himself in the tree of woe – taking a sliding dropkick to the face.

Danielson would look for a suplex to the floor, but was shoved down before the Shooting Star Press down to the floor. Back in the ring, double jump cutter would be blocked into the LeBell Lock – but Guevara was able to get the bottom rope. GTH would blocked this time around, before Danielson hit the Poisonrana.

Running knee from Danielson was blocked into the Walls of Jericho – moving into the Lion Tamer. Danielson would be able to crawl to the bottom rope, and was able to nail the running knee smash on the second attempt. He’d look to stomp the head in, but Guevara would use the knuckle lock to set up a DDT and Swanton Bomb.

Danielson got his knees up, before the elbow smashes to the head. LeBell Lock was applied, and Guevara got close to the ropes. Double arm capture LeBell Lock followed, and Guevara would verbally submit.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
