Recently, we saw Andrade El Idolo vanish from TV. This came after a reported backstage incident with Sammy Guevara, with Andrade suffering a suspension. However – weeks would pass with no update on when to expect Andrade back on TV, and we now know the true reason – as he’s suffered a torn pec, and recently underwent surgery to repair this.
Andrade El Idolo Undergoes Surgery For Torn Pec
Andrade would make a post to his Instagram account yesterday, letting everyone know that surgery was a success – putting him on the road to recovery.
“My first surgery I can’t believe it happened. A few months ago, I tore my pectoral muscle. Thanks god! I could and wanted to finish my match. I kept working because I love the business but we know that many people do not value your effort, these days off I took the opportunity to go to Dr.”
A picture from the trios match with Andrade, RUSH & Dragon Lee vs. The Elite, which was likely when the injury happened. Andrade was in the Casino Ladder Match at All Out, but many noticed him only using one arm during this match. That was his last appearance, disappearing shortly after. Recovery from a torn pec can take anywhere from six months to a year.
RUSH Has Grown La Faccion Ingobernable In Andrade’s Absence
During Andrade’s absence, RUSH has taken full control of La Faccion Ingobernable, recently successfully recruiting Preston Vance from The Dark Order. He rounds out a group now consisting of RUSH, The Butcher, The Blade, and Jose The Assistant. When Andrade is able to return in 2023, LFI will be a force to be reckoned with – and the trio of Andrade, RUSH & Vance could have a good chance of winning gold.
During his time away, Andrade has trolled AEW fans by making posts alluding to his exit from the company – likely a way to kill some time as he awaited surgery. As far as we know, Andrade will return to AEW in 2023 – with a return at All Out 2023 being the worst case scenario.
