Elon Musk is a tech guy and the CEO of several of the most successful companies in the world. As such, you’d expect him to know a thing or two about automated systems and running a company. However, when Twitter sent him an automated message it caught him off guard.
Elon Musk’s social media platform Twitter is one of the most technologically advanced social media companies. The automated system at Twitter managed to surprise Elon Musk by sending him an automated email. An email asking him to start working!
Elon Musk Has ‘No Idea Who The CEO Of Twitter Is’ After He Received An Auto Email Asking Him ‘To Start Managing’
According to Twitter, this is an email that their system sends automatically to all new employees – with different content depending on their position. It is part of the training course at Twitter, “what it means to be a good manager at Twitter”.
It was a long and bumpy road for Elon Musk. Six long months passed until he decided to go on with the deal for acquiring Twitter. He initially made an offer but seemed like he changed his mind due to concerns about privacy and about spam/bots on the platform. After lengthy negotiations, he finally went into his new office at Twitter one week ago.
Elon Musk took to Twitter, of course, to show his amazement at the automated email he received.
“Just received this email from Twitter. This is an actual, real autogenerated email.” – Elon Musk shared a screenshot of the email to Twitter. “So demanding to allow a mere 30 days to learn this priceless information! But Management 201 is such a tantalizing carrot.”
Furthermore, he told people that he has no idea who the CEO of Twitter is. “My title is Chief Twit right there in the bio. No idea who the CEO is.” – Musk replied jokingly.
Elon Musk, however, is the CEO of Twitter according to inside reports. He already has a Slack username and there, his label is the CEO.
The billionaire fired three of the top executives at Twitter as soon as he stepped into office on Thursday. Also, he fired them ‘for a reason’. So he can avoid severance pay-outs that accumulate a total of about $100 million.
As reports claim, Elon Musk managed to spare about $100 million by avoiding paying severance to the fired executives. In addition, he paid $1 billion less than the agreed $44 billion, because his friend and shareholder Jack Dorsey decided to transfer his shares in Elon Musk’s new company.
