Meghan Markle has admitted that she is reconsidering changing the way that she and Prince Harry parent their kids.
Meghan Markle Admits She Has To Change her Parenting-‘I Have To Rethink’
The couple currently have two children together with reports suggesting that the pair may be considering a third. While that may be the case, it seems that Meghan still has a few things that she wants to enforce on her children.
And one of those things was to ensure that they become self-sufficient irrespective of the way that they live their lives moving forward.
And it all came to a head on Meghan’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast when she was talking with Mellody Hobson, the CEO of Ariel Investments.
The guest recalled a story about how she had little money, but still managed to convince an orthodontist to offer her a payment plan when she was just in sixth grade.
And that philosophy of being dependent on oneself is something Meghan wants to instil in her kids. In her comments, Meghan said: “I have to rethink my parenting style.
“If that’s what yields you, then I’ve really got to up my game with our kids being self-sufficient…to know that you’re asking for what you need, and figuring out a way to get it, and it’s working.”
Nevertheless, this is going to be harder than first thought. First of all, Harry and Meghan do live a life of privilege.
They have managed to make a serious amount of money by virtue of their connection with the Royal Family, which has aided them as shown in their lucrative deals with Spotify and Netflix.
Secondly, this will inadvertently help Archie and Lilibet since they have that connection by way of an extension. The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter.
A certain subset of people felt that Meghan was at the very least trying to implement a philosophy of self-reliance which should be applauded.
One person wrote: “As much as i’m not a fan of Meghan Markle at least she actually had a career an made her own money rather than having money given to her by the British tax payer.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
